Random Story Chapter 1 Page 4 and 5

-No need to apologize, I have missed that attitude of his.
-I wish I could the same.
-Hey, hey I’m here remember?
-And I make your breakfast remember?
-Who’s the jerk now?
Tomas laughed once again, he wished he had this kind of relationship with his daughter but that wasn’t possible.
-Here’s my car, hop in.
-There you go miss.
-Quite the gentleman today. You still have to make dinner tomorrow. – John opened the back door so Helen could enter.
-Damn, you don’t let nothing pass.
-Obviously.
It didn’t take much time to get to Tomas house, It wasn’t far away and they avoided rush hour, so after 5 minutes john was already appreciating a glass of whisky at Tomas house. Shortly after Tomas left the room Margaret, Tomas wife, joined them at the living room.
-John! It has been ages since I last saw you. – Said Margaret while she approached to hug john.
-I missed you too.
-And who’s this beauty? – asked Margaret while she spread her arms to embrace Helen
-This is Helen my adoptive daughter.
-You adopted a child!? I would never guess that. I can only imagine how is to have him as a father. – While she sat with Helen in the sofa.
-It’s not so bad, he has he’s days.
-You don’t need to be so polite in front of me, tell me all is faults. –Said Margaret while smiling.
-You do know I’m here right?
-Shush dear, this is girl talk.
-Ok… Can I see the rest of the house?
-Sure, just try to not steal anything that I like.
-That means I can steal stuff?
-It’s unbelievable how sometimes you are so slow dear, now go let us alone.
-Yes, Madam. – He bowed and left the room.
-He can be such a gentleman sometimes. – Said Margaret.
-Yea, he has he’s days.
John was exploring a two store house, on the first floor there was a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a store room, an office and a stairway to the second floor.
-So have you decided on a suitable root to invade the house? – Tomas asked while entered the office where John was enjoying is glass of whisky while he looked outside the window.
-Damn, you are so alike.
-I think you mean my wife.
-Yea, anyway, the best way to ask for a sleepover and take the goods, always works for me. – Said john who got a smile from Tomas.
- Well should we go? – asked Tomas.
The girls were still happily chatting in the living room, Helen seemed to being enjoying Margaret company, she always made friends easily anyway. While they were driving to the restaurant the conversation changed to Tomas and Margaret daily adventures and misunderstandings, as most couples they had a lot of funny stories that happened because of stupid things and since they have three kids they seemed endless.
They finally  arrived at the restaurant but the topic was still the same. Helen was quite interested on their endeavors, after all she only had a family of two since he never met anyone else from john’s family and whenever she asked something about visiting them john always said that it would be hard since they were from Portugal, and indeed it was troublesome to go there but since john never denied to answer questions about his family Helen never thought much about it. Helen was also interested in meeting their suns two were about her age and she would be attending the same school as them, and since she liked her parents she was interested in meeting their suns. They had 2 girls one was 17 and the other 23, while the boy was the youngest with 14 years old, Marie, the oldest one, was studying abroad and she only came home during vacations so she would only be able to meet her in the Christmas vacation, Marta had gone in a camping trip and should come home in the weekend, Marcos was sleeping over at a friend’s house.  Marcos wasn’t with them because Tomas thought john was bringing someone older, so Margaret arranged someplace from him to stay the night anyway the boy was happy with it and it seemed it was usual for him and his friends to have sleepovers whenever their parents let them.
The night went on, and it was quite enjoyable, the Italian restaurant had a nice atmosphere and since Tomas seemed to be a regular the service was quite outstanding, the classic music that the band played gave a great atmosphere; she was really enjoying the night and so were the others who seemed to had been great friend by the way they talked.
